About GodstedlundWhen you stay at Godstedlund there is ample opportunity for hiking, biking and walking in the beautiful, surrounding area. We are right on the Pilgrimage Route (Pilgrimsruten) and Monastery Route (Klosterruten), and never far from beautiful forests and lakes.

Godstedlund is located close to the Maribo Nature Park with its many lakes, forests and meadowlands that offer a rich animal and birdlife and where it is possible to go on guided tours. Maribo also hosts the annual Maribo Jazz Festival. In nearby Sakskøbing the annual light-festival called "Light Over Lolland" takes place at Sakskøbing Sugar Factory, offering an amazing display of art in all shapes and sizes. Works of artists such as Stig Weye and Heike Arndt can be experienced there.

Fuglsang Art Museum is an international and modern art museum where you can experience everything from Avantgarde to Impressionism. The museum is located on the main road to Nykøbing Falster and can be visited daily.

Some of the beautiful estates and manor houses on Lolland occasionally offer "open house" events, including Søholt Gods which has the beautiful Baroque Garden. The estate is located close to Godstedlund.

If you love a bike holiday, Lolland is the ideal place to go. We have several cycling routes, some long and some short, and the Magurite Route (Margueritruten) running just past our B & B, which makes our location perfect for a bike ride. We can also assist with bicycle rental if you are not bringing your own.

It takes around 20 minutes by car to drive to the amazing Knuthenborg Safari Park. If you want to experience, and perhaps even buy some of, Denmark's best wine make sure to visit Østergaards Vinmageri in Stokkemarke where you can get cider and wine made on local apples, which Lolland is rather famous for.

If you enjoy water on a grand scale then a visit to the water park Lalandia is definitely worth the trip. Lalandia is only about 25 minutes by car from Godstedlund B & B.

About GodstedlundIf you are travelling through Denmark from Sweden, Norway or Finland and plan to go across to Germany with Scandlines Ferries from Rødby to Puttgarten - and maybe even further south - the journey is a long one. Therefore, an overnight stay with us is the obvious choice as you can be sure to wake up well-rested for the trip ahead. Godstedlund is only about 20 minutes by car from Rødby Ferry Port.

If you want to go shopping there is ample opportunity to do so in the cities of Nykøbing, Sakskøbing, Nysted and Maribo which surround the town of Godsted. But also a quick trip to Nakskov is recommended. In Nakskov you can go shopping with the Mail-boat (Postbåden) and experience the beautiful archipelago in Nakskov Fjord, which is the most island-rich fjord of Denmark.

When you are ready to move on from Godstedlund you can take the Spodsbjerg-Tårs Ferry which brings you to Langeland and then from there go on to visit Jutland. If you are arriving from Jutland and heading towards Lolland you can easily do the same. Godstedlund is located approx. 35 minutes drive from Tårs Ferry Port.
